Wing Commander: Academy (TV Series)
Wing Commander: Academy was an animated television series that ran on the USA network. Academy premiered on September 21st, 1996 as part of the “Action Extreme Team” block of programs. (Which, by the way, is the coolest name for a block of cartoons ever.)
A prequel to the original Wing Commander video game, WC Academy followed the exploits of a young Christopher "Maverick" Blair and his fellow cadets (including Maniac, of course). Hand picked by Commodore Geoffrey Tolwyn himself, Blair and his associates were to engage in active training aboard the TCS Tiger's Claw.
